Beck has a new project called the Record club. His first project is to cover the Classic Velvet Underground & Nico album.
The concept is simple – Beck will gather some musicians and cover a classic album in its entirety, with no prior rehearsals.
Released in 1967, ‘The Velvet Underground & Nico’ boasts artwork by Andy Warhol and has gone on to become hugely influential. Even Brian Eno was moved to make his oft repeated comment that everyone who heard the album seemed to have formed a band.

Doctor Who is an extremely long-running, low-budget British science fiction show about a time-traveling alien
he original 1963 recording of the Doctor Who theme music is widely regarded as a significant and innovative piece of electronic music, recorded well before the availability of commercial synthesizers. Delia Derbyshire of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop used musique concrète techniques to realize a score written by composer Ron Grainer. Each and every note was individually created by cutting, splicing, speeding up and slowing down segments of analogue tape containing recordings of a single plucked string, white noise, and the simple harmonic waveforms of test-tone oscillators which were used for calibrating equipment and rooms, not creating music. The swooping melody and pulsating bass rhythm was created by manually adjusting the pitch of oscillator banks to a carefully-timed pattern. The rhythmic hissing sounds, “bubbles” and “clouds”, were created by cutting tape recordings of filtered white noise
Sébastien Schuller is incontestably an artist who takes you by surprise.
Sébastien Schuller is a classically trained percussionist who became an accomplished and eclectic multi-instrumentalist over the years, composing and interpreting his own work, backed by a few hand picked friends, including Paul Hanford (Brothers in Sound, Sancho).
A thirtysomething from Les Yvelines in the Parisian suburbs, Sébastien Schuller thrives on enhancing sounds of acoustic and natural resonance with touches of electronica. Throughout the album, which balances tantric instrumentals with tinges of pop you can almost dance to, a thread of tortuous and contrasting emotions is unravelled.
The mood is predominantly melancholic, but, as in life, there is a constant undercurrent of hope.
Dreams can sometimes become reality, even though ghosts of the past inevitably haunt the present.

Primal Scream are a Brit-nominated[1] Scottish alternative rock group formed in 1982 in Glasgow by Bobby Gillespie (vocals) and Jim Beattie.
The band performed throughout 1982-1984, but their career didn’t especially take off until Gillespie left his position as drummer of The Jesus and Mary Chain. The band were a key part of the mid-1980s indie pop scene, but eventually moved away from their more jangly sound, taking on more psychedelic and then garage rock influences, before incorporating a dance music element to their sound. Their 1991 album Screamadelica broke the band into the mainstream. Despite multiple lineup changes, the band has remained commercially successful and continues to tour and record to this day.
